Itinerary :
Kertagosa Court of Justice
Kerta Gosa is located right in the center of Klungkung next to the main roundabout. The gardens of Taman Gili, in which Kerta Gosa sits, were built in 1710. For me the impressive thing was to look up at the ceiling and check out the terrifying artwork depicting good vs evil. Thereby, the word's meaning of Kertha Gosa is a building of a kind Jurisdiction in form of Bale for the king who announces the legislation, jurisdiction, penalization etc.
Bat Cave Temple
This temple is located at Dawan District, Klungkung Regency. It is about 50 km from Denpasar. The temple is known as Bat cave temple and one of tourist’s stop for sightseeing to East Bali. The location is on the stop of a hill on the beach. The view of Nusa Penida Island across the sea is a beautiful panorama. The name of Gowa Lawah means cave of bats. Where hundreds of hanging bats are never leave the cave, only flying around the area and back again. Beside bats there are snakes which some times sleeping among the cliff on the mouth of the cave. Many said that some times white dog and chicken also appear on the area.
Kusamba Beach salt Maker
Kusamba beach is one of interesting tourism object in Klungkung Regency, located around 7 km, east of Semarapura City. Kusamba is factually not far from the struggle history of Balinese in fight against the Dutch colonist. During the war against the Dutch in Kusamba on 23-24 May 1849, the Balinese hero had succeeds to make afraid the Dutch soldier and had killed the Dutch key man - Letnan General Michiel. Lot of Traditional boat will parked in the beach, near some of coconut tree, also small house that usually used to make a traditional salt.
Bukit Jambul
Bukit Jambul is the hill located in north of Klungkung, will take about 30 minutes drive after we visited Court Justice, it is part of Karangasem Regency. The view of the coast is very beautifull, overlooking to the black sand beach and small island of Nusa Penida and surrounded by clove plantation and the rice terraces.
Bukit Jambul name first given by a tourist at the time of the invasion of the Netherlands to Indonesia. Bukit Jambul is known as a wonderful destination for a harmonious combination between the hills, fields, valleys, and beautiful sea panorama. From the height of the hill we can see the natural beauty beneath.
Besakih Mother Temple
Besakih temple’s history dates back to megalithic times, with the most ancient section Pura Batu Madeg (temple of the Standing Stone) built around a central rock. Balinese people believe the founder of Besakih to be Sri Markandeya, a Javanese priest who was in Bali around the 10th Century AD. Besakih was already very important to the Balinese by the time the Javanese Majapahits conquered Bali is 1343. After that time the temple became the central temple of the Gelgel and Klungkung courts. Exploring the Besakih temple complex means a lot of walking and stair climbing. One strategy is to visit the largest temple, Pura Penataran Agung first, then take your time meandering the other points of interest.
